Colorado's epic ski country is ready for you, but things may look a little different on the mountain this season.

Thanks to a press release from Colorado Ski Country USA, we know that many popular ski areas like Aspen Snowmass, Arapahoe Basin, and more are eager to welcome you back. However, you can expect to purchase your lift tickets before you get on the mountain, and in some cases, even reserve your spot before heading up.

On ski lifts, parties will be allowed to travel together, but parties not together will have a seat between them or only be loaded to 50% capacity (however, if you are uncomfortable with this, you will be allowed to ride as a single party).

All ski areas will be following state regulations (for example, requiring a mask in indoor spaces), but some mountains will be stricter than others. Copper Mountain will be implementing a parking reservation system in order to gauge the volume of skiers, Purgatory Resort will be temperature scanning visitors, and Arapahoe Basin will feature "contactless skiosks in the base area where guests can pick up pre-purchased daily lift tickets, which will be required." These are just three examples: Colorado Ski Country USA encourages you to stay informed on their website and "know before you go."
