The lowdown on our Cheyenne Easter Egg Hoedown. Check out the festivities for the weekend.

Lots of eggs hidden all over town and fun for the whole family.

  • The Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Department will host their Traditional Easter Egg Hunt on April 19th, 2014. This event is for children, ages 2-6y/o, and held every year in Holliday Park (weather permitting), beginning at 10:00am.

The event will start promptly at 10:00am and is usually over in 5 minutes or less, so please be early! In the case of inclement weather, there will be a candy giveaway at the Youth Activity & Community Center (1317 Parsley Blvd.), beginning at 10:00 am.

  • The 3rd Annual Underwater Easter Egg Hunt will be taking place on April 19th, 2014 at the Municipal Pool. This event is for children, ages 2-10y/o, and begins at 5:00pm. NOTE: Children 8 y/o & under, must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources is inviting children ages 2 to 4 to participate in the annual Easter egg hunt at the governor's mansion in Cheyenne.

Organizers say more than 1,200 eggs will be hidden on the grounds for children to gather beginning at 9 a.m. April 19. Each egg will be stuffed with an educational fact about the history of the mansion and Wyoming's first families. The Easter egg hunt is free and open to the public.
