Wind Chills Down To -35 Predicted For Southeast Wyoming
The weather service posted the following statement on their Facebook page on Friday morning:
"New Year's Outlook - An arctic air mass will usher in 2018 with bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills for portions of the southeast Wyoming plains and Nebraska Panhandle. In addition to daytime highs that will not reach above 0F in areas on New Year's Eve and Day, overnight wind chills will plummet to dangerous levels (-15 to -35F). Those with plans to travel or be outside this holiday weekend will definitely want to take precautions to keep themselves and families safe."
While temperatures on Friday are expected to remain fairly warm, winds gusting up to 75 miles per hour are raising travel concerns around the region.
