Wyoming Federal Judges Sentence Seven
Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced seven people convicted of drug, violence and firearms crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.
U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced Mark William Lowe, 39, of Mills for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. He received seven years of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release. Skavdahl also ordered him to pay a $100 special assessment and $900 in restitution.
This case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the following three crimes committed in Indian Country.
Skavdahl sentenced Rita Mae Willow, 30, of Ethete for involuntary manslaughter. Willow was arrested in Fort Washakie. She received two years, six months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $2,135 in restitution.
Skavdahl sentenced Caleb Cole Washakie, 19, of Arapahoe, for assault by strangulation. He was arrested in Fort Washakie. He received one year, eight months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.
Skavdahl also sentenced Jace James Spotted Wolf, 19, of Lame Deer, Mont., for assault, resisting, and interfering with a federal officer. Spotted Wolf was arrested in Billings, Mont. He received five years of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.
Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freduenthal sentenced Scott Leslie Glover, 54, for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Glover was arrested in Las Vegas, Nev. He received three years, 10 months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release Glover was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and $200 in restitution.
This case was investigated by the DCI and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Freudenthal also sentenced Jerry Lee Zimmerman, 35, of Cheyenne, for being a felon in possession of firearms. He received two years, six months of imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment and a $400 fine.
This case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Corey Jesse Adkins, 46, of Sheridan for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine and for possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Adkins was arrested in Camp Verde, Ariz. He received 15 years of imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $200 special assessment and $500 in restitution.
