The University of Wyoming didn't make the NCAA Tournament this year, but a former "Mr. Basketball" from Riverton will be representing the Cowboy State in the big dance.

Chris Quayle was Wyoming's High School Player of the Year in 2015. After one season at Central Wyoming College, the junior transferred to North Dakota State and will suit up for the Bison in their opening round play-in game versus North Carolina Central tomorrow.

Quayle is one of five Division 1 players from Wyoming, according to County 10. The 6'5" shooting guard played in all 30 games for the Bison this season, who won the Summit League Championship to clinch their third NCAA Tournament birth in the past six years.

In 2014, North Dakota State upset Oklahoma in the opening round. If they win the "first four" matchup tomorrow, they will advance to meet top-seeded Duke on Friday.
