Wyoming State Tree, Looking Forward to Fall
I really actually love all season, I feel we are blessed to have four seasons here. Fall is fast approaching and with that in mind started thinking about the Wyoming State Tree. Do you know what it is? I love the colors of fall.
The state tree was adopted in the 1940s. Plains Cottonwood is the state tree, they amended the statute in the '60s to its scientific name, but no one can really pronounce that. So Plains Cottonwood it is to me anyway.
Above is what the tree looks like and as you can kind of tell even though the image is small that in the fall and spring they can have some pretty colors. Below is one in the winter from Instagram
By the way, we even have a Wyoming Native Plant Society.
