The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is inviting women to attend the 2017 Wyoming Becoming an Outdoors‐Woman Workshop.  Learn the basics of canoeing, archery, fly‐tying, shooting skills, backpacking, outdoor photography and much more.  For women 18 years of age and older, regardless of skill level.

The Wyoming Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) is a very popular women’s workshop targeted toward women 18 and older who have an interest in learning outdoor skills—skills usually associated with hunting and fishing. All classes are taught at the entry level in a safe, non‐intimidating, outdoor setting to help women learn and have fun outside.

Becoming an Outdoors-Woman camp will be held June 23-25, 2017 at the YMCA of the Bighorns Camp Roberts outside of Buffalo. Activities at the camp are designed to introduce women to a variety of outdoor pursuits they can enjoy in Wyoming’s great outdoors.”

Applications must be received by the Casper Regional Office of Game and Fish by 5 p.m. on April 15 by postal mail. Faxes and e-mails will not be accepted. The three-day event costs $150, which includes all meals, lodging, and equipment. Space is limited to 35 women, and participants will be selected through a random draw with 12 spots going to women already actively acting as mentors collaboratively with Game and Fish in their communities and their mentees.
