A Mile High Salute to Ron Zappolo’s Bitchin’ Mustache

Thank the heavens, football season is finally back.  If you watched the Denver Broncos pre-season opener in Seattle, there was something comforting about seeing Gary Kubiak back in blue and orange and hearing the voice of longtime Denver sportscaster Ron Zappolo.

Coaches and players have come and gone over the years, but there's two things that Broncos fans can always count on, John Elway and Ron Zappolo's bitchin' mustache.

Zappolo's been rockin' the 'stache since before I was old enough to grow one. And while guys like Tom Selleck and game show host Alex Trebek have foolishly abandoned their once epic 'staches, Zappolo's lip lettuce remains a proud Mile High institution.

So here's three cheers for football season. The Broncos are lookin' good, Gary Kubiak is back where he belongs and Ron Zappolo will never shave his bitchin' mustache.  Here, here.
