Another Perfect Circus Performs at The Midtown Tavern Tonight at 8 [AUDIO]

The Midtown Tavern presents Another Perfect Circus tonight starting at 8 and there's no cover charge. Don't mind the orange construction cones along Pershing, they're not blocking the entrance to the bar or package liquors at Anderson's Other Corner, 1303 East Pershing Boulevard.Another Perfect Circus stopped by the KING studio on Friday, May 10. One act of the 'Circus,' Gary and Nicole Hoem, performed John Prine's 'Angel From Montgomery' for us live on the air. In case you missed it, you can listen to it here.

The local band is made up of Chris Chimick on drums, Mark Jones playing keyboards, Bob Pollock on lead guitar, Gary Hoem on bass and Nicole Hoem on lead vocals.

On Saturday, May 11, from noon to 5 p.m. The Midtown Tavern will be hosting a Celebration of the life of Ron Mesery, a former long-time bartender.

You can wear blue and gold in honor of Ron's favorite team, the University of Michigan. A barbeque lunch will be cooked and served by Tom Fitzke and Mike Rooney on Saturday. For a donation of $4, get a barbeque sandwich, beans and potato salad.

Any donations and tips collected will help with Ron Mesery's funeral and medical expenses.
