Just north of Cheyenne on I-25 tomorrow, June 15, there will be food, live music and all kinds of fun at the 28th Annual Chugwater Chili Cookoff. Tickets are $10 for adults and kids under 12 are free.

Which bands are you planning on seeing this week?
There are lots of musical choices in the area this week, including the Kansas-band, now based in Los Angeles, Gooding playing at the Lion's Lair, 2022 East Colfax, in Denver on Tuesday, June 11, with Jane Thatcher and Floating Action opening. The cost is $7 and it starts at 9 p.m.

The last days of school are upon us, so we're celebrating on 'Your Sunday Brunch.' Join me between 7 and 10 a.m. for some rock news, birthdays, concert announcements and other tasty treats.
It's 'A Great Day to Be Alive' on Saturday, June 8, at the Cheyenne Skate Park.
A BMX bike jam and live concert will help raise money and awareness for Grace for 2 Brothers, the local suicide prevention organization.
Six bands are scheduled to play starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, at the Cheyenne Skate Park, 2735 Windmill Road, between East High School and the V. A. Medical Center.
If you're looking for a party, you can find one at The Midtown Tavern tonight, June 7, with free music from Second Opinion.
The local band will play acoustically beginning at 8 p.m. Jamming tonight will be Jimmy McGuire on lead guitar and vocals, Bob Zebann on bass and Jim McGuire on the jimba drum. The Midtown Tavern is also known as Anderson's Other Corner at 1303 East Pershing Boulevard in Cheyenne.

Our favorite band from Kansas, now based in Los Angeles, is heading to Colorado for three shows in the next week.
Gooding will play in Ft. Collins on Friday, June 7, at Road 34 starting at 9:30 p.m. then on Saturday, June 8, the trio hits Boulder for a performance at eTown Hall beginning at 7 p.m. for $12.
