The Wyoming Cowboys remain winless on their home field after losing to #21 Boise State 45-14 on Saturday under Interim Head Coach Pete Kaligis. After the game was tied at 7-7 early in the second quarter, the Broncos took control and scored 31 straight points for their seventh straight victory.

One man is dead following the crash of a charter plane on Friday afternoon at Laramie Regional Airport according to airport manager Jack Skinner. No details have been released about the man, although Skinner did confirm that he was not from Laramie.

The University of Wyoming will be hosting the All-American Rejects on October 24th. The alternative rock band will play in the Arts & Sciences Auditorium with Boys Like Girls and Parachute opening the show. Eric Garcia with UW Concerts & Convocations said he expects the show to sell out within a week of tickets going on sale.
The University of Wyoming football team is off to an 0-3 start in 2012 after losing to Cal Poly 24-22 on Saturday in Laramie. It is UW’s first loss to a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) team.
A vehicle fire on the Laramie Range summit between Laramie and Cheyenne closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 for about an hour on Friday afternoon. A pickup truck with a long camper trailer was lost in the fire according to Wyoming Department of Transportation spokesperson Ross Doman.

A traffic stop on Interstate 80 yielded $1.3 million worth of marijuana according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Sgt. Stephen Townsend said just over 231 pounds of high grade marijuana was discovered in a semi-truck about 20 miles east of Elk Mountain during the Level 3 Commercial Vehicle Inspection.
Two more retail liquor licenses are available to the City of Laramie and interested parties have started to make their case. Laramie received the licenses because of its increased population in the 2010 census. The city council could award the licenses to any of the eight parties who expressed interest during Tuesday’s work session.
