Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite 'Get Up!' album (YouTube)
Did you catch Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' earlier this week?
The 'Steal My Kisses' singer has gotten together with the legendary harmonica player for a new album, 'Get Up!,' due out next Tuesday, January 29.

Here's a link to their TV performance from Tuesday night of 'I Don't Believe a Word You Say' in case you missed it. You've probably heard Musselwhite's harp at the beginning of the INXS song 'Suicide Blonde.' The Mississippi native released his first solo album, 'Stand Back! Here Comes Charley Musselwhite's Southside Band,' in 1966 and has put out 25 others.

Charlie Musselwhite was just inducted into the new Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame last month.

Harper and Musselwhite play in New York City on the day of their album release and then head out on a tour that will take them to Toronto, California, Michigan and Chicago.

Hopefully, they will expand their tour to include venues in our area so we can see this unique musical collaboration.
