Cheyenne Home Grown: Another Perfect Circus

Have you ever joined Another Perfect Circus for a show?

The Colorado/Wyoming band made up of veteran local musicians will be my first guests on Cheyenne Home Grown. Each weekend on Cheyenne Home Grown I'll be featuring a local band right before 7 p.m. when Alice Cooper takes over.

This weekend I'm talking with Another Perfect Circus, they just played at The Midtown Tavern on Friday night and will be performing at The Crown Bar downtown on Saturday, January 31, at 9:30 p.m.

Another Perfect Circus members are:

• Chris Chimick-drums (played with Mister Coffee & The Grounds for Divorce and Another Fine Mess)
• Gary Hoem-bass, vocals (played with Raging Mane)
• Niki Hoem-Lead Vocals, Keyboards (has been with Moe Diggin')
• Bob Pollock-guitar, vocals (played with Michael Degreve in Night Fire, Moe Diggin')

Niki describes their sound as roadhouse, r & b, dancing, blues music. It's groovin' I'd say. Check out their cover of The Doors 'Roadhouse Blues.'

That's just one of the many YouTube videos you can find by the band. They've survived several lineup changes over the years and have evolved into a lively act to catch at your favorite local venue around Cheyenne and Ft. Collins.

Last summer, Another Perfect Circus participated in the Colorado Blues Challenge and made it to the finals at the Buffalo Rose in Golden. They also played at Mishawaka's Bluesfest, Sturgis, Cheyenne Frontier Days and Floodstock (helping to raise money for victim's of Colorado's flooding). They even opened for Willie's son's band, Lucas Nelson & Promise of the Real.
