Are you a record collector?

If you have a lot of great vinyl at home, show it off this Thursday, October 2, at the Knights of the Turntable meeting at Phoenix Books & Music, 1612 Capitol Avenue.

At this week's meeting, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., audiophiles can bring in about 10 to 15 minutes worth of your favorite vinyl to play and discuss with the group. They'll have time for about 8 presenters on Thursday and it's all on a first come, first played basis.

It's a great way to hear songs that you've never heard of, or to find out more about some of your favorite bands. You'll also be able to meet others who share your love of vinyl.

Most of the meetings of the Knights of the Turntable feature records found for sale at Phoenix Books & Music and sometimes there is a theme for the evening.
