Cheyenne Police Looking For Suspect In Attempted Kidnapping
Cheyenne Police responded to an attempted kidnapping on the 1100 block of E. 7th street Tuesday night at about 9:30 p.m. Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Dan Long says police received a call that a Hispanic male attempted to grab a 7-year-old boy as the boy was getting into a car.
The boy got in the car and locked the door before the man could get to him. The man ran off on foot when the boy’s mother, who was already in the vehicle, got out and confronted him. The man left the area and was last seen southbound on Bradley Avenue. Long says the parents of the boy did not know the suspect.
The man is described as a Hispanic male about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a bald head, and wearing black pants. Long says If anyone has any information about this crime, contact the Cheyenne Police Department at 637-6510 or Silent Witness at 638-TIPS.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
