City Reminds Residents About Hazardous Waste Restrictions

The City Of Cheyenne Sanitary Landfill, 1416 Happy Jack Road, does not accept hazardous waste.

Neither does the Solid Waste Transfer Station on College Drive/

Commercially generated hazardous wastes are not permitted at the City of Cheyenne Sanitary Landfill. Vehicles containing such waste will not be provided access to the City Landfill or Transfer Station, 220 North College Drive, and the Department of Environmental Quality will be notified immediately.

Waste may be hazardous if they fall into any of the following categories:

• Ignitability
• Corrosivity
• Reactivity
• Toxicity
