An official with the state Department of Worker’s Compensation says employers in Wyoming can now have voluntary inspections done to identify possible workplace safety hazards as well as possible solutions. Bill Cole says there are now 7 inspectors who are available to go into workplaces at the employer’s request and identify problems that could pose a hazard to workers. Cole says the program is an example of the state trying to work with employers to address safety issues rather than assuming a confrontational attitude  on the issue.
