Courtney Love Reportedly Trying to Bring Nirvana Musical to Broadway or Big Screen

Courtney Love is reportedly developing a Nirvana-based musical for Broadway or the big screen. The widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain is apparently teaming up with music industry manager Sam Lutfi, who is currently in a legal battle with former client Britney Spears.
According to the New York Daily News, Lutfi spoke about working with Love to create the Nirvana musical during his testimony in the current Britney Spears trial.
â[Courtney Love and I] are currently working on a possible motion picture or Broadway musical based on the Nirvana catalog, based on her life and Kurt Cobainâs,â said Lufti during the trial. He claims to be co-managing Love, whom he calls âan accomplished actress.â
âSheâs been talking about doing a movie or play about her life with Kurt for a long time,â claims an insider to the New York Daily News. âSo far, nothing has materialized from it⦠Itâs been her dream to get her side of the story out.â
Courtney Love was recently forced to hand over rights to use Kurt Cobainâs name, likeness and image to daughter Frances Bean Cobain, due to the terms of a $2.75 million loan that Love took against Frances Beanâs personal trust fund in 2010.
Nirvana seem to be a hot topic in the entertainment world lately, as a writer from âThe Big Bang Theoryâ is reportedly creating a sitcom for CBS called âSmells Like Teen Spirit.â
