Three of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead, Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge have formed Dead & Company. They toured last fall and played at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield and this summer, the band will perform Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3, at Folsom Field in Boulder.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 12, through CU Tickets Online. With all the Dead Heads around Colorado, these shows are sure to sell out fast.

After the remaining members of the Grateful Dead got together last summer at the Fare Thee Well concerts to celebrate their 50th anniversary, John Mayer approached the band about forming a group to continue touring.

The singer of 'Your Body is a Wonderland' had guest hosted the CBS Late Late Show and played with Bob Weir when he was on the program. They looked like they were having fun, Bobby seemed delighted that this young kid had immersed himself into the Grateful Dead songs. He even sounded at times like he was channeling Jerry Garcia.

Along with Weir on rhythm guitar and Mayer playing lead, Bill Kruetzmann and Mickey Hart take their regular places in the drum seats while Oteil Burbridge helps out on percussion and Jeff Chimenti (from Bob Weir's side project Rat Dog) plays keyboards. Their set lists read like classic bootleg shows from the past with one good ol' Grateful Dead song after another.

Dead & Company begin their summer tour in North Carolina June 10th and it wraps up with two nights at Fenway Park in Boston July 15th and 16th.
