The Converse/Pershing/19th Street Roundabout in Cheyenne has been controversial since it was first proposed.

Mayor Rick Kaysen says he thinks most motorists have come to like the structure, and Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak says the monthly average for accidents on the roundabout has dropped to around two after averaging eight when it first opened.

But based on Cheyenne traffic patterns and the number of motorists using the roundabout, there is little doubt that some people still avoid it.
