Freaks and geeks, rejoice! The third annual FoCo Comics and Gaming Festival, aka Fort Collins Comic Con, is coming up Saturday, September 12th, at the Northside Aztlan Community Center.

Billed as the "premiere geek event in Northern Colorado", this year's Comic Con will feature over 40 authors, artists and panelists devoted to comic books, cosplay, science fiction, gaming, toys, collectables and pop culture.

Highlights of this year's event include the "Jedi Panel" and "Lightsaber contest" for Star Wars fans, "Nerd Improv", "Superhero Saturation", "Battle Gaming", "Steampunk 101" and workshops on how to create and publish graphic novels.

Organizers expect to draw nearly 1,000 spectators to the event, which doubles as a fundraiser for the Poudre River Public Library District. Admission badges are $20 for adults and teenagers, $10 for children ages 6 to 12, and kids ages 5 and under are free. For more information, visit the Fort Collins Comic Con website.
