The Driving Skills For Life Program is coming to Cheyenne next month.

The free program is being presented the Governor's Highway Safety Association, the Wyoming Department of Transportation and Ford Motor Company.

The program, part of the Ford Driving Skills For Life Program, features behind the wheel training by driving specially-equipped vehicles.

The program focuses on four key areas: vehicle handling, hazard recognition, space management and speed management.

There will be two days of the program presented in Cheyenne, on August 6th and 7th at the Wyoming Army National Guard base Helicopter Ramp Area. There will be two sessions each day, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The program is open  to newly-licensed drivers and teens who hold a valid learner's permit, as well as their parents
