A spokesman for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department says waterfowl hunters should find  plenty of opportunities this year, adding the hunting should improve as marshes in the northern US and Canada freeze.

Al Langston says there are some waterfowl in the state already, and says the situation should improve as colder weather hits areas north of Wyoming. He says birds migrating from those areas will likely stay in Wyoming as long as ponds and reservoirs remain open.

Langston says the overall situation for waterfowl hunters in Wyoming is very comparable to last year, which he says was a good one for duck and goose hunters in the state.
