Have you done anything today to celebrate Earth Day?

Just by picking up some trash, you're helping to make our planet a better place to live. Recycling is another great way to clean up our world, keeping reusable items out of the landfill.

Earth Day was founded in 1970 promoting the protection of our environment. Every April 22, we're reminded that everyone can do something to help and those small actions have far-reaching ripple effects.

With the lawn care season upon us, go green. Try to use less pesticides by spot treating problem areas of your yard instead of putting chemicals on the entire lawn.

You can also help the Earth by buying reusable products instead of disposable ones, like cloth napkins instead of paper. Also purchase recycled or recyclable items when available.

The website, earthday.org, has lots more ideas. What did you do today to make the world a better place?
