Kaysen Says Local Economy Growing
Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says the local economy is getting better all the time. The mayor points to the location of a Menard’s outlet in the capitol city as well as expansion and renovation of the Cole Shopping Center Safeway as examples. A fortune 100 company is also considering locating a data center in Cheyenne. The mayor says such a center could have a value beyond the 40 jobs it would create in the local economy, because it might also help attract other hi-tech and related businesses. The company has not been publicly identified, but Cheyenne is reportedly vying with one other community as finalists for the facility.
