Peter Frampton brings his Guitar Circus Tour to Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Tuesday, August 20, The show starts at 7 p.m. and features great guitarists like B. B. King, Sonny Landreth and David Hidalgo from Los Lobos.Heart play Fiddlers Green on Tuesday, August 20, with opening act Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience.

Sammy Hagar takes the stage at the Budweiser Events Center at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, he's celebrating 4 decades of rock on tour with the Wabos.

Lugnut and The Spare Tires roll into The Midtown Tavern at 8 p.m. on Friday, August 23, for a free show. Hopefully we can talk them into stopping by the KING studio for a preview.

Fridays on the Plaza presents Last Men on Earth from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on August 23.

Also in downtown Cheyenne, Detonator play for free at The Drunken Skunk, 1617 Capitol Avenue, beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 23.

Sanford's Pub and Grub, 115 East 17th Street, has Pepie starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 23, with no cover charge.

George Ball will be at Steamboat's Steak and Smoke House, 1947 Dell Range, for a free show beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 23.

The Dave Matthews Band play Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado on Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24, starting at 7 p.m. both nights.

The Terry Bison Ranch hosts the Ruts Fest 2013 this weekend kicking off with BeatGrass at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 23, and Blue Gramma at 7. Other musical highlights include the Matt Flinner Trio and The Hillbenders on Saturday, August 24, and Chain Station and Lonesome Heroes on Sunday, August 25.

Second Opinion are part of the 2nd Annual End of Summer Bash presented by the Cheyenne Chapter of the UMF. The poker run begins at the Eagles Lodge, 1600 Thomes, on Saturday morning at 10 and wraps up at the VFW 1881, 2816 East 7th Street, off Nationway. Second Opinion play from 5 to 10 p.m.
