The Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Office is working on a plan to make the South Greeley Highway corridor  safer for all forms of transportation, according to Nancy Olson of the MPO. The plan looks 20 years into the future, and Olson says it’s “mostly conceptual”  at this point. The Cheyenne City Council Finance Committee on Monday signed off on an additional $20,050 for the study. If  the full City Council agrees to the additional money on Monday night, it would bring the total cost of the project to $108,000, which would be paid for with federal funds. Olson says the MPO has held a couple of open houses on the plan and will probably hold at least two more. She says the organization wants to get input not only from motorists, but also pedestrians, bicyclists, and anyone else who uses the corridor.
