Have you ever attended the Old-Fashioned Melodrama at the Atlas Theatre in downtown Cheyenne? I'm amazed at how many people I've talked to who have lived here for years and have never been to any of these fun, interactive shows.

During Cheyenne Frontier Days, you have several chances to see the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players' 57th annual Old-Fashioned Melodrama with 2 performances each night through July 27 at 7 and 9 p.m.This Summer's production, 'The Treasure of Sara's Padre or Peril at the Plains or Don't Be a Freud, Just Lie Down on the Couch My Dear!,' was written and directed by Rory Mack, local actor and author.

Two full casts of actors alternate performances during the show's run with a wide variety of olio acts between the three acts. There's also the can-can dancers and can-can cuties to look forward to and watch out for the Sheriff, you might get kicked out of the show for flirting with the pretty girls. Check the cast list, you might know some of the local talent.

Concessions are available for purchase including beer, sarsaparilla, sodas, popcorn and candy.

Tickets may be purchased at the historic Atlas Theatre box office at 211 West Lincolnway, by phone at 635-0199 or online here.
