The Laramie County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a portable meth lab that was found in a backpack Friday afternoon, according to spokesman Gerry Luce. He says the bag was reported as found property a little after 5pm Friday at Outlaw Liquors. Luce says the contents of any meth lab–portable or otherwise–can be extremely toxic. Because of that, hazardous material teams from the state Division of Criminal Investigation and Cheyenne Fire Department were called in to safely handle the portable lab. Luce says preliminary investigation seems to indicate the lab belonged to a female transient from Missouri. The lab itself has been turned over to D-C-I. Luce says possession of a portable meth lab is a felony.
