(Second) Year of the Smartphone?

The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas draws tech geeks galore, who come to get a first look at the cutting-edge gadgets that will soon be on store shelves.

The CES opens Friday and tech prognosticators expect tablet PCs and smartphones will continue to dominate after a strong year for both in 2010. Internet rumors continue regarding either (another!) new Apple iPhone, or perhaps an iPhone for the Verizon network.

Either way, the iPhone will be coming to the Cheyenne area shortly. If Verizon doesn't get its own version, Alltel is becoming AT&T in another month or two. AT&T has the uber-chic smartphone.
