Thousands of cities around the globe are participating in the second annual World Book Night, approximately 2.5 million free books are expected to be donated.

World Book Night is an annual celebration designed to spread a love of reading and books. It's being held in the U.S. as well as the U.K. and Ireland on April 23, 2012. Restaurants are giving out deals for Tax Day!, and you don't even have to file any forms.

Most taxpayers waiting until the midnight deadline to file owe money to the IRS, so to lessen the sting of writing out that big check, Arby's, Sonic and Panda Express are among those giving out deals today, April 17.

The tax deadline is midnight tonight because the 15th was on a Sunday and yesterday was a holiday, Emancipation Day, in Washington, D.C.
