There are lots of rockers celebrating birthdays, some interesting new music releases to tell you about and, of course, some Irish bands, please join me between 7 and 10 a.m.

There's lots of live entertainment around our area to enjoy, including several Irish themed events.

Killer Rabbit play The Midtown Tavern, also known as Anderson's Other Corner at 1303 East Pershing Boulevard, at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 15. There's no cover charge and we're hoping to get a preview from Eric, Dave, Scott and Ron here in the KING studio.

St. Patrick's Day is Sunday, March 17, do you know why we wear shamrocks?

Find out where lots of the cultural traditions of St. Patrick's Day come from at the Paul Smith Children's Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens today, March 13, at 4 p.m.

The cost is $1 per child.

They'll be exploring the origins of leprechauns, the blarney stone and four-leaf clovers among other traditions.
