Cheyenne Frontier Days is in full swing and if you're headed out for the final weekend, here's five tasty treats you should try.

1. Funnel Cakes - Funnel cakes and CFD go together like cowboys and rodeos. Sure, they'll take a few years of your life. But go ahead and finish the whole thing. After all, you'll do enough walking to burn at least a few of those calories.

2. Deep Fried Oreos - They'll deep fry just about anything these days. If you're willing to live dangerously, the deep fried oreo cookies are your best bet. Unlike candy bars, which are messy, gooey and greasy, the consistency of the cookie is better suited for deep frying.

3. Turkey Legs - There's something primal about chowing down on a giant turkey leg. Devouring one makes you feel like a caveman (or woman). And while turkey legs are typically chewy and tough, the slow smoked barbecued turkey legs on the midway are tender, juicy and filling.

4. Gigantic Corn Dogs - Why would anyone buy a regular sized corn dog when, for another dollar, you can get a gigantic corn dog that's nearly the size of a baseball bat? Like turkey legs and funnel cakes, corn dogs are quintessential fair food and, for some strange reason, they just taste a little better when you're on a carnival midway.

5. The Barbed Wire Reef - Looking for a unique treat at CFD? This Denver based food stand is cooking up a variety of wild game, including buffalo, elk, boar, and even kangaroo. Their burgers are excellent, the seafood is superb and their gourmet brats are the best you'll find on the midway.
