If you're going to Cheyenne's 4th of July Celebration at Frontier Park, make sure to get there early. Before the fireworks show, The United States Air Force Tops in Blue band will be performing their unique blend of pop, rock and patriotic anthems.

The Tops in Blue ensemble features 35 active duty members of the Air Force who travel around the world performing for military personnel and civilians. In order to make the elite group, candidates must first go through an audition process, talent show, multi level competition and then a 45 day training session. Each year, the field is chosen in six categories: male vocalist, female vocalist, instrumentalist, musical variety, dance, and non-musical variety including comedians, magicians, and dramatists

The Tops in Blue unit dates all the way back to 1953. Over the years, they have appeared at two Super Bowls, the Daytona 500, the NBA Finals and even the Major League Baseball All Star Game. We are lucky to have them back here in Cheyenne once again.

This year's Tops in Blue group stopped by the KING-FM studios this morning. Not only did they give us a sample of their performance tomorrow night, they will also be the guest DJ's for this afternoon's KING For a Day segment at 5 p.m.
