Thanks to all of the kids (and parents) who came down to the Cheyenne Depot Wednesday night for our first ever New Year's Eve party for kids.  We were hoping to have 500 kids show up.  Instead, we had approximately 1,500 children and the parents participate.  It was awesome!!!

One of the highlights of the event was the cool "Pit Stop" game in the Depot Lobby.

The kids also enjoyed face painting, snacks and a variety of games, arts and crafts.  We also learned an important lesson.  Never hand out party horns to 1,000 kids.  After about an hour, the grown ups were having a hard time maintaining their sanity.  Of course, the kids loved the Downtown Ball Drop and a fireworks show at 6 pm.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make our first New Year's Eve Kids Party such a huge success.  And a very special thanks to Darren, Lindsey and everyone at the Cheyenne Depot, Visit Cheyenne, the Downtown Development Association, Simon Contracting, CBS Channel 5 and CH Yarber Construction.
