He’s come a long way, career wise, and now the Sean Curtis Band are getting ready to launch their first album “Kind of Like Wyoming” tonight, Saturday, March 14th, at the Outlaw Saloon.

According to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, even though Sean originally hails from Colorado, he’s made Wyoming his home for most of his life, living in Cheyenne, graduating from Central High School in 2002.  His passion for music turned into a big break for Sean, after auditioning on season 12 of American Idol.

Since then, Sean and his band have performed through much of Wyoming and Northern Colorado, and they've managed to play alongside Cowboy Troy during Cheyenne Frontier Days.  They've also opened for country artists Thompson Square, Craig Campbell, Aaron Watson and Josh Gracin, as well as opening for rock legends Great White and Firefall.  Sean has also been on stage with the Marshall Tucker Band, Randy Hauser, Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band.

Their first single “I Take This Beer” from their debut album, has been a major crowd-pleaser, and, according to the band’s website, the song has managed to “hit the new artist country top 40 countdown at best country radio, and debuted at #9, and reached #8.”

The Sean Curtis Band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Sean Curtis, Jason Downing on bass and vocals,(he’s also the band’s booking manager and designed the cover for their debut album) Autum Ruiz on background vocals, Bob Benson on lead guitar, and Tim Elliott on drums and vocals.
