-The U.S. Men’s 4x100m freestyle relay team won a silver medal yesterday.  France pulled off the upset for the Gold Medal.

-In Women’s Skeet shooting – Kim Rhode became the first American ever to win five medals in five consecutive Games. Rhode won the women's skeet shooting Sunday, tying a world record and setting the Olympic mark with 99 points -- meaning she missed once in 100 shots.

-U.S. Gymnast Jordyn  Wieber, the defending world champion and favorite in the individual all-around at these Games, lost to her teammate,  Aly Raisman, and was knocked out of the all-around competition after making a number of mistakes.

Just in case you missed the opening ceremony fire works display(like I did), I thought I would go ahead and post it to enjoy again and again!
