Boom – Watch the Largest Ever Aerial Firework in American History
If you're gonna do something, go large. It's the American way. That includes the largest aerial firework ever exploded in American history that you can see here.
What's the largest ever firework ever exploded over America? According to the BBC, this happened in a display over Steamboat Springs, Colorado on February 8, 2020. This bad boy weighed over 2,800 pounds and it blew up real good.
The Guinness Book of World Records provided the staggering stats of that firework:
The final shell measures 1.44 m (4 ft 8.75 in) in diameter, made of over 82.07 km (51 mi) of 5.71 cm (2.25 in) gummed paper tape, wrapped in even layers by a machine built especially for this purpose. The completed shell is at least 17.78 cm (7 in) thick, and was filled with 380 individual comet fireworks. A giant mortar, 1.57 m (5 ft 2 in) in diameter and 7.92 m (26 ft) deep, had to be specially built to shoot off the giant firework.
That world record shot broke the previous record which was set in 2018 in the United Arab Emirates. This record belonged in America.
Another YouTube dude claims he purchased the world's most expensive firework valued at a whopping $600,000. It also provided a spectacular sky sight.
Never underestimate American determination when shown a record involving blowing something up and saying "Hold my (insert favorite beverage here)".
