6 Million Food Ordering App Users’ Sensitive Information Hacked
EatStreet is a mobile food ordering platform, and last month the company got hacked.
In fact, 6 million people's names, credit card numbers, bank accounts, routing numbers, expiration dates, card verification codes, billing addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. This includes not just customers but also the EatStreet's partners.
According to ZDNet's report, hacker Gnosticplayers breached the company's security and stole sensitive information.
Because of the breach, EatStreet claims to have hired an IT forensics firm. The firm will investigate and create new security measures. The company has enforced a two-factor authentication with rotate credential keys.
They are asking anyone who has used their service to monitor their bank accounts closely.
