The official weekend forecast is cold temperatures with light snow accumulations, but everyone is talking about a foot of snow on Saturday and Sunday. Here's the official forecast at this point from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne:
- Tonight. A chance of snow and freezing drizzle before 8pm, then snow. Low around 12. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Saturday Snow. High near 20. Wind chill values as low as -5. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Saturday Night. A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly before 11pm. Cloudy, with a low around 6. Wind chill values as low as -10. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
