Baseball Teams Invade Cheyenne

For the first time since 2006, Wyoming gets to host the AA Legion Northwest Regional Tournament.

Cheyenne will welcome state champions from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana Wednesday through the weekend. Cheyenne Post 6 did win the state AA Legion baseball tournament in Sheridan last week, however Post 6 automatically qualified for the tournament because they are the host. So that meant the state runner-up, Gillette, also got a ticket to this week's tournament.

Festivities began Tuesday with a banquet hosted by former MLB and Colorado Rockies pitcher Jason Hirsh. Games begin Wednesday and here's the schedule...

Medford, OR vs. Bellingham, WA – 9:30am

Kennewick, WA vs. Boise, ID – 30 minutes after first game ends

Chugiak, AK vs. Gillette Roughriders – 4:30pm Click here to listen via Gillette radio
