Captain Jeff Ashby Speaks About Being an Astronaut at LCCC on October 25

Have you ever wanted to be an astronaut?

The opportunity is closer than ever for members of the public to take a trip into space. Retired astronaut Jeff Ashby will present 'The View from Space...Be an Astronaut' at Laramie County Community College on Thursday, October 25, at 7 p.m. The event is free and will be held in the Union Pacific Centennial Room inside LCCC's Center for Conferences and Institutes building.

Captain Ashby flew on three space shuttles; Columbia, Endeavor and Atlantis. He grew up in Evergreen, Colorado and graduated from the Navy Fighter Weapons School and Naval Test Pilot School to become an aviator in the U.S. Navy.

The former astronaut will talk about personal spaceflight and opportunities for passionate consumers to enjoy private space travel.
