CFD Officials Talk About Improvements for 2012 Show
Cheyenne Frontier Days General Chairman Rod Hottle discussed the nearly 1.5 million dollars in improvements for the 2012 show during an open house sponsored by the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Wednesday. Hottle says several changes will be coming to Wild Horse Gulch including replacing port-a-potties with restrooms, and a petting zoo.
Other improvements around the park include new Cheyenne Frontier Days Dandy barns, as well as a new amphitheater in the free entertainment area now called Volunteer Square.
Hottle says they also replaced the concrete underneath the B stands and added a fresh coat of paint. He says this year’s show will include more vendor booths including a chuckwagon vendor. Hottle says they hope to have all the projects completed by July 20th. Hottle says last year the 115th Cheyenne Frontier Days brought in $11.6 million in revenue from activities at the park, which enabled them to do the upgrades.
