When she's not on the campaign trail, United States Congressional candidate Elizabeth Cheney works hard to teach her five children important life lessons. Evidently, one of those lessons is to refrain from passing gas in public.

In 2014, Cheney spoke at a Politico luncheon alongside her parents. At the event, she recounted a story about the family's visit to the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas several years ago.

According to her account, her youngest son Richard, who was seven years old at the time, promised there would be "no farting" while the family participated in the parade.

This fall, while prospective politicians across the country will be blowing smoke, voters here in the Cowboy State can take solace in the fact that Liz Cheney's children won't be breaking wind during her campaign events.
