Cheyenne Airport Drops in Ranking for Passenger Traffic
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Cheyenne Regional Airport has dropped in the rankings for Wyoming commercial passenger traffic, beating only Sheridan and Worland airports in 2015.
According to a list published by the Wyoming Business Report, Cheyenne ranked eighth out of 10 airports in the state for commercial passengers in 2015.
The ranking is based on arrival and departure information from the Wyoming Aeronautics Division of the state's Department of Transportation.
The Cheyenne airport dropped 79 percent in commercial passenger traffic from 2013 to 2015, to about 4,600 arrivals and departures in the more recent year from about 21,800.
The Jackson Hole Airport topped the list with 627,397 arrivals and departures in 2015, up 9 percent from the 576,841 arrivals and departures in 2013.
