Have you been to Cheyenne Depot Days over the past 10 years?

This weekend train enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a wide variety of rail-related activities at venues all around Cheyenne and your admission includes trolley rides to see all of it.

The 10th Annual Cheyenne Depot Days kick off Friday, May 15, with the Rail Art Show & Reception at the Cheyenne Depot Museum downtown from 6 to 8 p.m. The Sherman Hill Model Railroad show also opens Friday at the Exhibition Hall in Frontier Park from 6 to 9 p.m. The Trolley departs every 20 minutes to take visitors to the different venues.

Cheyenne Depot Days continues on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with vendors, food, models and tours of the historic Depot. You can also visit the Union Pacific Steam Shop and Round House and see Steam Engines like the newly arrived Big Boy 4014.

On Sunday, May 17, hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all venues. The Cheyenne Ice and Events Center on West Lincolnway will host the Wasatch Railroad Contractors Open House. Trolleys will be available to take you there to see their Mini Steam Engine and restored Caboose #2516.

The Sherman Hill Model Railroad Show will be held this weekend at the Exhibition Hall in Frontier Park and will feature model railroad displays, vendors, a U.P. Mini Train and a diesel simulator.

Armbands for the weekend are $10 and kids 12 and under get in free. They are available inside the Cheyenne Depot Museum. Check out this year's Depot Days and find out more about the railroad industry that put Cheyenne on the map.
