Beginning in a pasture north of Cheyenne, near Horse Creek Road, the annual cattle drive travels south along Hynds Blvd., the I-25 frontage road, to Central Ave. by the Governor’s Mansion, Kennedy Road, Carey Avenue and into Frontier Park.

Here are the approximate times that the cattle are expected at points along the trail:

7:15-7:45 a.m.-Interstate 25 and Horse Creek Road

8:15 a.m. I-25 frontage road and Riding Club Rd.

8:45 a.m. I-25 and Vandehei Avenue.

9-9:15 a.m. I-25 and Central Ave.

Times are approximate because…. They’re cows. But all in all, the drivers have proven to be real good at keeping times tight. Yea Cowboys and cowgirls.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol will not allow parking along I-25 at any time during the Cattle Drive. Also, Central Avenue between Kennedy Road and Hynds Boulevard will be closed while the cattle are on Central Avenue.

Spectators are encouraged to watch the free event from vantage points along the route and don’t forget to bring your cameras.
