Cheyenne’s Strangest Stop Sign [Photos]

Have you ever been baffled by this stop sign in Cheyenne? At the intersection of Powderhouse and... a dirt road that almost nobody uses, in the middle of a corner, is this awkward stop.

Visitors to Culver's, Office Depot, or O'Reilly Auto Parts are sure to have noticed the odd placement of the sign before getting back onto Dell Range or Powderhouse.

The dirt road that Powderhouse intersects with is connected to the Cheyenne Regional Airport. The road stops after about a quarter of a mile where there is a gated entry area.

One possible scenario for the awkward stop sign is in case of an airport emergency, this road may be used. Either way, we think it's one of Cheyenne's strangest stop signs!
