Depeche Mode Schedule Release Dates for New ‘Spirit’ Album, ‘Where’s the Revolution’ Single

Depeche Mode have continued the long lead-up to their new Spirit LP by revealing the release date and artwork for the album — as well as the set's leadoff single, "Where's the Revolution."

Pitchfork reports that Spirit has been tabbed for a March 17 release, while "Where's the Revolution" — whose artwork you can take a look at below — is due to arrive in stores and streaming services this Friday (Feb. 3). The band's 14th studio album, Spirit follows 2013's Delta Machine, which peaked at No. 2 in the U.K. and No. 6 in the United States.

As previously reported, sessions for the new LP took place in Santa Barbara and New York, and found the band working alongside producer James Ford, whose previous credits include work for Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine, and Haim. The record also reportedly features programming work from Matrixxman.

Depeche Mode will return to the road in support of Spirit with the aptly named Global Spirit Tour, which is set to start with European dates in May before moving to North and South America later in the year.
