DWS Warns Of Unemployment Insurance Scam
CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is warning of a phishing scam website bearing DWS’s Unemployment Insurance division name. The website lists false contact numbers and information.
Phishing is a trick internet scammers use to collect information using false e-mails and websites. The scammers often replicate websites or emails of legitimate entities that contain links to web pages and have been disguised to look nearly identical to legitimate sites. DWS is working with state law enforcement to shut down the fraudulent website.
